Today we are at the Yorkshire Showground, and amongst the many jobs is to test these speakers for the stables call up. These small but effective horns stay up all year round, and ensuring correct operation way ahead of the show is a must.
We are pleased to report everything is as it should be, and they will be doing their thing from July 14th to 17th for the 2026 Great Yorkshire Show.

Last trailer to leave Durham, and we have had some nice compliments about the system this year, including comments on clarity, and the two way link between start and finish commentary, and even a visitor from another boat crew saying the sound was better than most regattas in the country, including Henley!
So it’s goodbye Durham and on to the next. See you all next year!

Day two of the 2026 Durham Regatta, and the sun is shining.
Full riverside P.A. system, start and finish commentary, two double decker units, one single deck unit, and fifty four two way radios.
Many thanks must go to the Durham Amateur Rowing Club for allowing us many visits to the clubhouse for much needed refreshments and sustenance!

In other news, Sean is looking after a car show, with full music quality arena P.A. and timing.

Well it’s a couple of weeks now since the Nottinghamshire County Show, and all the equipment has been removed from site and allocated to other events. We had 132 speakers of various types, including music horns, general purpose speakers on stands, Nexo speaker stacks, and regular public address horns. These were fed via 26 amplifiers, 13 mixers, 13 radio mics, 21 cable mics, and three radio links. The outdoor speakers were supported by 65 lengths of scaffold tubing. There was too much cable to accurately quantify, but it must run into miles. Also two double decker and two single decker commentator boxes, four staff, five big van loads of the aforementioned equipment , and one loudhailer. Main ring entertainment was our good friends the Knights of Nottingham, who were as entertaining as ever.
The photos show the farmers breakfast meeting table for the panel of experts for the Q&A session on all things agricultural. For this meeting, we utilised some new equipment from Bose Professional, which did the job admirably.
As expected, there will be some tweaks here and there for the 2027 show, which we are looking forward to already!
